Domaine d'Aussières
Blason d'Aussières
IGP Pays D'Oc
A traditional Languedoc blend of mainly Syrah and Grenache with some Carignan and Mourvèdre, this wine is made mostly with estate fruit grown in the domaine’s cool microclimate. Its vinification focuses on preserving that freshness and it shows notes of ripe red fruit, sweet spice, blackberry, pepper, and garrigue.
Vineyard
This traditionnal Languedoc blend is made predominently of Syrah, with Carignan, Mourvèdre and Grenache, whilst the cooler terroir of Aussières confers the wine its exceptional balance and finesse.
Tasting Note
Opens with notes of ripe red fruit, hints of sweet spices and roasted dried fruit. Generous and balanced on the palate with blackberry, redcurrant, liquorice and hints of pepper. This wine offers all the scents and flavors of the garrigue!
Vintage
The relatively mild winter in 2020 led to an early bud break. A warm, relatively wet summer, with a hot, dry late summer period, without scorching high temperatures, allowed the grapes to reach their optimal aromatic potential slowly, whilst maintaining a sufficient level of acidity.
